CLE: “The Missing American Jury” by Professor Suja Thomas

Prof. Suja Thomas, a member of the University of Illinois College of Law faculty, will discuss excerpts from her book "The Missing American Jury: Restoring the Fundamental Constitutional Role of the Criminal, Civil, and Grand Juries". Her presentation will focus on how criminal, civil, and grand juries have disappeared from the American legal system, and, despite their significant presence in the Constitution, how juries have been robbed of their power by the federal government and the states.
